Shimla –Olalla !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Visiting the hilly place was something like a dream comes true. Shimla visit was fascinating and exciting .I was thinking what I would do after arriving to the destination point .So many ideas tinkling above my head. I thought to gather the experience of the beautiful place all alone but I accompanied my brother along with me thinking that we would make the trip more awesome. The visit was during the winter, so obviously we will have to wrap our body from the chilly cold breeze that was blowing down the hill .This was really a disturbing element for me through out my journey but my brother Olalla! He was just taking a sigh by uttering, “What’s a beauty man”? I just looked at him and smiled prettily. We arrived at the Shimla bus station on February before the early dawn. Its was immensely chilly morning where we both shared a hot cup of tea jus to warm our body and make ourselves more comfortable. There at the bus stand the representative welcomed us to their town. We comforted all our pain of our bone-crunching journey at a hotel nearby. The cabbie charged Rs.50 for a three-minute ride to my hotel. I wondered that the cabbie there really charges higher price at Bombay for a 10 minutes trip and thought it was quite cheaper here. It was so chilling morning that the hotel room did not bring any reprieve indoor. I waked up the receptionist and ordered him to provide me with some hot cup of coffee. I was shivering under my quilt, as there was no difference of temperature outdoor from indoor. Can you provide me a hot water bag? Oh! god the receptionist refused me from providing the hot water bag. I had no other option left with me other than warm myself under the quilt and take a tight snap. So cold, it was difficult to wrap myself under the quilt as the slightest part in contact of the body makes me get a current of the blanket being cold. My brother was really enjoying himself in great pleasure under the blanket. It was 10 in the morning; I waked up stretching my arms tightly to take a glimpse of the atmosphere somewhere outside and found the birds chirping. That was the Shimla morning so much chill pill.
Far away, I spotted out the Lower Bazaar, the Middle Bazaar, a part of the Mall and just a fleck of the Ridge and the Cart road. I went on pushing myself hard on the railing to capture a glimpse of the town in a unusual manner. During my stay there I watched Taare Zameen Par there at the cinema hall. I made some fast friends at Shimla. The movie really inspired me a lot and eloquently went on saying in front of my fast friends .Please do watch the movie I requested them. The is also a ladies park where I spent long hours to refresh my mind in the lawn as well as chatted with old aunties and learnt about the place more and more.
Why is Shimla so much famous? The dawdling life of people made the city too away from crowds and the rush. Designer attire hanging on the stores was magnetizing many visitors at one glimpse. I was bit hungry at that point in time so thought to have my food at first and then take a long walk via the town. I went to a nearby restaurant to have my lunch and ordered some good meal for myself. After having a lavish lunch, I really needed a walk to vacant my overfilled stomach. I loitered around the entire town. I went from one window to another checking out stuff, which I yearn to purchase. I am not a shopping maniac but this place has made me to shop for a long time and I got lot of exciting stuff for myself and friends back home otherwise, they would annoy me and not let me live my life alone. I believed anything that was available on the Mall was available in Lower Bazaar for half the price. I dined in an expensive restaurant of Shimla. I accompanied my brother this time and headed to barista .It is his all time favourite. Can see many innovative building have come up in this short span of time. Like Shimla was getting better and better day-by-day.
Several new restaurants have come up on the Mall now. There's even a Barista outlet, where college kids drum guitars and try hard to get noticed by girls outside. It suddenly makes me see my dad's taste in coffee in an all-new light. Whenever you visit Shimla don’t forget to visit the places that is on the list like Baljees -- for steaming hot gulab jamuns. Fascination -- for some truly delicious paneer pakoras. Sita Ram in Lakkar Bazaar -- for chhola bhaturas. Padu Ram in Lower Bazaar -- for samosas and tikkis. Trishul Bakers, the Mall -- for the world's best pineapple pastry.
This is the everlasting beauty of Shimla, which is never changing. Nothing much has changed but its getting better. One more one have to view is the snowfall. Therefore, what are you waiting for, just pack your bags for the next winter and romance in the chilly winter with your near and dear ones.

Shimla:I have visited Shimla lot many times but one thing I never forget doing before walking out of the city is to visit the Shimla mall in and out. It is just as if something rolling down the mountain is the malls of Shimla. Lots of stuff you can get at the Shimla mall. All guests to Shimla as you might expect walk down the Mall, the main esplanade that runs along the top of the crest - a busy shopping area with old majestic buildings, memento shops and bistro. At the crown of the Mall is Scandal Point, a large open square with a view of the town - a favorite rendezvous for visitors and the local people. Overlooking it is the well-designed Christ Church with its fine blemished glass windows. The labyrinths of Shimla's open market trickle over the rim of the Mall. Accommodation in the Gothic magnificent of the Viceregal Lodge is the Indian Institute of Advanced studies. It is India's foremost academy for higher study. Moreover, Very close to the Institute, in a grand building set in drudgery lawns, is the museum. It has an album of Pahari miniatures, stone sculpture, local handicrafts, textiles and embroidery. The precipitous mount to Jakhoo Hill, Shimla's utmost point, is worthwhile for splendid views of the civic and its ambiance. At the top is an old Hanuman temple. It is about (2Km/1.2 mile). The open grounds at Annandale, below the rim, were a favorite location in the days of the eRaji - the venue of picnics, cricket and polo.A pretty picnic spot beyond Annandale is located in the copiously wooded Glen, adjacent to a luminous tributary. ( 4 Km/2.4 mile)The quiet and lovely suburb of Summer Hill has secluded, shady walks and charming views. Here Gandhiji hang about on his visits to Shimla, in the graceful Gerogian mansion that belonged to Rajkumari Amrit Kaur. Summer Hill is located on the Shimla -Kalka railway line. (5 Km/3 mile)Just ahead of Summer Hill is the 67 m waterfall, gushinng into a deep chasm. The Falls are seen after the monsoon. (7 Km/4 mile).A 15 minute climb from Boileauganj, Prospect Hill is another favorite walk and vantage point with breath-taking views. There is little temple to Kamna Devi on the top of the hill ( 5 Km/3 mile)A serene location with delightful walks, Sanjauli is ideal for a tranquil weekend. There are fine vistas and the lights of Shimla and Chail can be seen twinkling at night. On the other side, Mashobra and Naldehra are visible. Next journey definite I will cross Himachal Pradesh and head towards Kashmir. CYA there guys !!!!!!!!!!!
