Jaipur: Good’ day to everybody from India. In my last blog, I mentioned about festivals of jaipur but haven’t portrayed them more elaborately. Today, let us know Jaipur better and its Fairs and Festivals with a different perspective. It has been a long time when I went to Jaipur but this time holi is round the corner and I know a lot is going to happen at Rajasthan. Jaipur is the hottest city in India which has spectacular places around where one can have fun time and pleasure. It is wonderful feeling when the time of holi hops into the country with lots of colors and changes the color of the seasons. The Elephant Festival is a unique event held once a year in Jaipur. These spruced impeccably, chain of elephants do a catwalk before spellbound spectators which looks that ramp models are there to do live performances and swear it looks just amazing. The elephants move about with poise in pageant, run races, play the imperial game of polo, and conclude by participating in the spring festival of Holi. The event is staged at Chaugan in Jaipur where elephant display their long trunks during the Festival to attract attention. There are dancers, musicians and a great integer of bystanders who come there to view this grand event. Moreover, the elephants are painted and roofed with richly embroidered velvets which look awesome and attractive on this giant animal. There are deadly and fierce elephant fights. It is astonishing that only female elephants participate in this celebration. The parade is escorted by the resonance of trumpets to divert the attention of all the spectators. There are lancers on horses, chariots, camels, cannons and palanquins lending their own splendor to it. There are beauty pageants for the elephants in which mostly female elephants participate and are groomed industriously by their 'mahouts' (elephant keepers) for that very purpose. Their trunks, foreheads and feet are painted with floral motifs and trinkets are attached to them from tusk to tail. At the end of the day, a winner is declared. The highlight of the festival is the game of polo forms where elephants compete with each other wearing saffron and red turbans to score goals with long sticks and a plastic football. The mahout’s i.e. the elephant keepers take great care to decorate the elephants painting their trunks, foreheads, and feet with flower-patterned design and embellish them from tusk to tail with attractive charms. Female elephants wear anklets with and make music as they walk. The game of polo forms the highlight of the festival. Finally, the tourists are invited to mount the elephants and play Holi. Participants dance with great vigor and the enthusiasm rising to a climax.

Jaipur: Jaipur is ethnically wealthy and has wide-ranging custom in sculpture and traditions, which replicate Indian’s mode of life. The rich and refined cultural heritage has attracted many tourists to this point. The erstwhile kingdom of Kings and courtiers formed these fine-looking monuments with their extreme creative power. This Place is analogous in both fascinating & mesmerizing. Nevertheless, Jaipur also caters to life-size restaurants for its delicious cuisine to make your tongue go watery. You are visiting Jaipur; obviously, you will need to feel up your empty stomach. Jaipur serve to its tourist palette scrumptious cuisines of various flavours. Furthermore, each county in Rajasthan has its own well-liked sweets and Jaipur famous for its ‘Ghevar’. You can find very delicious vegetarian food in Jaipur but let me tell you specially the meat –eaters has to search a better place for option, as Jaipur is running short of non-veg food in its locality. Jaipur is swarming up with fresh structure of hotels and small bistro in its pouch for the holidaymaker who should have a superlative dining. If you are figure conscious then I would suggest avoid eating out in Jaipur. Despite the fact, I personally feel that one should enjoy to the fullest and “Chaddo” caring about putting on weight. I do not care much about such thing like “tali huyi sabzi” and “roti” , but yes I do make sure that you don't come back with a sour throat or an upset tummy. Jaipur dishes up a rocking "Nalli Korma". There you can find no mutton shop even you search losing all your energy. If you feel like eating get ready to empty your pocket because Nero’s is considered to be the oldest and most popular restaurants in Jaipur. With an extensive menu offering vegetarian and non-vegetarian Indian, Chinese and Continental food, the place has become synonymous with Jaipur. Nero's is perhaps the secured cafeteria in the city. On the other hand, they do make an outstanding "Rajasthani Lamb Sula", which is skewered mutton in mild local spices. Natraj Restaurant is a located near Nero’s they serve great vegetarian food at cheap price. If you want something within your budget then check out "Chicken Stroganoff" where two can dine for only Rs 700-800 excluding the alcohol. In addition, if you want something royal hop onto the lavish surrounding of "Peshawari" at the ITC Rajputana Sheraton. The food has the first-class quality at Rs 1500-2000 per person, which seems somewhat high-priced. Moreover, "Handi" at Maya Mansion on MI Road is also quite reasonable. Hope this blog gives you the ultimate knowledge of the pink city so that next time when you are there you can get better option for yourself.

Jaipur: It’s all over, folks. The season for being jolly and full and drunk is behind us for another festivals. But let’s not tighten our belts just yet. This is not the season for self-restraint. Oh no. This is, in fact, the season for spending lots on merry-making.Holi and the elephant festival is not the end of Jaipur’s culture .The Gangaur Festival is celebrated throughout Rajasthan with great enthusiasm but the celebrations in Jaipur and Udaipur have their own special charisma. Gangaur festival which approaches during the month of March - April is popular among women who pray to the goddess Parvati. A parade of caparisoned horses and elephants accompanying the image of Lord Shiva is the foremost magnetism. In these festivals women carry the idols of goddess Parvati also called Gauri in form of a procession to Gangaur Ghat which is one side of Pichola Lake. Gangaur Festival is one of the local festivals and you know we loved to see the synergy and customs of the state .This festival is dedicated to Gauri, a manifestation of Goddess Parvati; consort of Lord Shiva, which inaugurates on the first day of Chaitra, the day following Holi and lasts for eighteen day. It is intentionally celebrated by women and girls of all seasons. This festival is celebrated through out the city in a great gusto. There wouldn't be a better time to travel to Rajasthan than during festival time. This is also an auspicious time for young people to select their life partners. The festival is also celebrated with great pomp and show in Bikaner, Jodhpur, Marathwara and Jaisalmer. It’s not only celebrated at Jaipur but also in the parts of Udaipur. Let me tell my readers that a boat procession is taken out on the Pichola Lake in Udaipur. Women balancing several brass pitchers on their heads add to the gaiety of the Udaipur celebrations. During this fiesta thousands of people from the countryside comes to take part in the parade of Gangaur, which goes around from rural community of the villages. It was aghast to know that the Tribal men and women get the opportunity to meet and interact freely and during this time, they select partners and elope to marry. This is something new that we have learnt during our vacation. Now if you want to get married this place is an unusual, romantic custom authorized by the community where one can find there life Partners and start a new life. Therefore I neatly sum up my blog saying that do embark on a Rajasthan tour to experience a world of colors and festivities.

Namrata: Hey buddies, firstly we apologize for not updating this sooner, we got tired traveling hours this weekend on various trains and buses and the few hours getting better on a beach .We did not want to miss out such chances .It has been days I have not been writing So I will begin where we left off before... Jaipur.... Jaipur is much better than any other places in India and we really enjoyed looking around the beautiful pink city, which is constructed with stones and so that it looks pink during dusk and you know what experiencing the bazaar was tremendously awesome. In fact, small shops likewise the mobile phone shops in the street which I don’t think has changed in this century of time. We hired a guy with an Ambassador who guided us although our trip. He took us to lots of the forts and sights and it was a great way to ride an adventurous journey. Our journey was so amazing that we did not want to go back home. It is by a large amount the top-notch city we have seen yet. It is very much neat and clean and loads of life. Jaipur is one the most planned cities. On our first night we took a rickshaw to the top of a nearby hill/mountain to see the sun set. On our way the guide informed us about an accident that took place on that route. A jeepsy just collapsed over the edge of the cliff and it was really hard to safe the passengers who were sitting inside the car. Tourists there just managed somehow to safe the distorted car out of the hilly area. It was really a disaster. We hope people take more precautions on these hilly areas. Next day we occupied ourselves looking around the many monuments and gardens that had been built over the years. I was attracted towards the stunning fountains, ponds and gardens built during those days. After a couple of days we took another train to Udaipur, known for tranquil water Lakes and the City of Dawn .You know it is considered to be the most naturally beautiful place on the planet earth. One of the many maharajas of Rajashtan built a palace on this lake which looks like it is floating. It is so unique piece. We took our path to our next destination but before that we wanted to fill our stomach with good food. So we did it at first at a Dhaba and stated our journey after that.
